It has been reported that over 60% of black women perm or relax their hair or alter it in some ways that many would call "mimicking white"? Are black women ashamed of their natural state of hair or are they just experimenting with versatile styles and self hate has nothing to do with the equation.
Why are weaves highly associated with black women and not other "races" of women?
It seems that blacks are the worse at pushing the "weave association" than other ethnic groups when it comes to ridicule and referencing.
